@wtrfallprincess Sara, was the guy in the artwork on your Chaser Archives page header modeled after one of the SNC guys? If so, can I guess?

I've wondered if this question would come up someday. :) I decided to have some fun with it, so I asked Chasers to tweet me with their guesses and I promised to reveal the answer at 3 pm PST today. And then I greatly enjoyed the lively debate and conversation that followed. Thank you to everyone for your patience and playing along.

The answer is... *VP drumroll* TYLER!

I made the logo myself in Photoshop from something I treasure - my very first SNC group shot.

As you can see, the way Tyler is standing is absolutely perfect for what I needed, and I love that his tie is just a little off-center. He's casual, relaxed, fun - exactly the feel I wanted for the site. I did NOT see this picture and then think "Oh, there's my logo!" lol It evolved, as creative things do. I didn't even know exactly what I wanted the logo to be at first. I did notice that the grey/white/red color scheme of these particular suits would be perfect for a blog because it incorporates the important crimson while still being easy to read. And, generally speaking, I just really like that color combination. I think it looks nice on them and the blog.

The fact that this question even came up is great because it shows me that the logo does represent each of them individually and also together as a team.

Thanks for asking, Dottie! And I'd also like to send a thank you shoutout to Tyler! Not many people can say they are a logo, so I hope you enjoy it. :)

AFB: How has your past experience working with SNC’s first PBS special helped?

Dan: Putting the first SNC special together was the most challenging thing I’ve ever done in the music business. I think I have a good understanding of the hard work that’s involved on and off stage to pull something like this off. You can’t cut corners.

Straight No Chaser Brings Christmas Cheer to a Sold-Out Crowd

As a whole, the show was more than just a concert; it was a production. With an elaborate setup of risers, incredible lighting design which added to the changing mood and atmosphere of each song, and witty banter between songs, Straight No Chaser showed that they are more than just a bunch of choir geeks; they are true performers who are making a cappella cool again.

Last August, Straight No Chaser singer Dave Roberts got a note from a female fan who'd been wowed by his stage presence at an Atlantic City show. "I was lucky enough to sit near the front and really got to experience the eye contact and famous Dave Roberts smiles that everyone is talking about," she wrote. "I love your baritone voice."

If you had to rewrite the song “Windows Down”, how would you change the lyrics so it reflects your life as it is now?

Haha! I always feel like I'm lying whenever I perform that song (which, granted, hasn't been for awhile) because I've since been to Texas, South Carolina, and Montana. I'm still holding out for Hawaii!
